University of Alabama sophomores Kyla Lemons and Jaelyn Hanna took their dorm makeover to the next level, spending approximately 100 hours transforming their room into what they describe as a deluxe living space.

The students incorporated decorative touches and personalized details to create a room that feels less like a traditional college dorm and more like a high-end bedroom.

Their transformation is part of a growing trend on social media, where college students are documenting elaborate dorm makeovers and sharing the before-and-after results online.

Moms Are Getting Involved, Too

In Dallas, sophomore Addison Standley received some professional help with her own dorm transformation.

Standley's mother, an interior designer, helped overhaul a room for Addison and her roommate at Nelson University.

With an eye for design, her mother helped turn the basic dorm into a more polished and comfortable space—showing how a little professional creativity can make a big difference.

The trend reflects how college students are increasingly treating their dorm rooms as an extension of their personalities.
