Arrest in a cold case

According to Arlington police:

  • She is being held without bond.

  • Investigators believe newly developed evidence linked her to the 2012 killing.

Authorities have not publicly disclosed all of the evidence supporting the arrest, citing the ongoing investigation and court proceedings.

Investigation

Cold case investigators continued working the case over the years, reviewing evidence and following up on leads before making the recent arrest.

The victim's family has reportedly waited more than a decade for progress in the investigation.

The suspect is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court. Prosecutors will now move forward with the criminal case, where the evidence will be examined through the judicial process.
