Woman Stung Hundreds Of Times By Bees At Storage Facility

A routine trip to a storage facility in Texas turned into a terrifying fight for survival when Rachel McKee was suddenly swarmed by hundreds of bees.

The frightening attack was captured on video as McKee tried to escape the swarm. She was stung hundreds of times before emergency responders rushed her to a hospital.

A Sudden and Terrifying Attack

McKee said she was at the storage facility when the bees suddenly surrounded her. Video footage shows the swarm attacking as she struggled to get away.

The sheer number of stings made the incident particularly dangerous. According to the hospital, McKee had suffered one of the highest numbers of bee stings medical staff had ever seen.

Thankfully, No Severe Allergic Reaction

Despite being stung hundreds of times, McKee did not experience an allergic reaction to the bee venom.

She was taken to the hospital for treatment and later spoke with Inside Edition's Justin Finch about the frightening experience and the pain she endured.

A Reminder of the Danger of Swarming Bees

Africanized honey bees, often referred to as “killer bees,” can become highly defensive when their colony is disturbed. Their danger comes largely from their tendency to attack in large numbers, which can result in hundreds of stings.

McKee's experience highlights how quickly an encounter with a bee colony can become an emergency.

The incident is also a reminder that anyone who encounters a large or aggressive swarm should avoid approaching it and seek shelter as quickly as possible.
