Sheinelle Jones said she fell asleep on an Amtrak ride from Philadelphia to New York and woke up two hours later on an empty, dark train underground at Moynihan Train Hall. She tried to get out, realized the doors were locked, and eventually called 911 for help.

What happened

Jones said she had a long day, got sleepy, and didn’t realize the train had already reached its final stop while she was still asleep. When she woke up around 12:20 a.m., she walked through the train looking for a conductor before trying to pry the door open herself.

How it ended

After she bruised her finger trying to escape, she called police, and two officers helped her off the train. She later joked that if you ever see someone asleep on the last stop of a train, wake them up.
