Rep. Nancy Mace has a very specific request for men sliding into her direct messages: stop sending unsolicited explicit photos.

The South Carolina Republican addressed the unusual dating issue during a recent interview with TMZ on Capitol Hill, where she was asked whether she would ever consider dating a Democrat.

Mace said she would not rule it out if she decides to date again — but explained that the messages she has been receiving have made the experience less appealing.

“That’s Nasty”

Mace said men from across the political spectrum have been sending her unwanted explicit images, prompting her to make clear that the pictures are not helping their chances of getting her attention.

She described the behavior as “nasty” and said the unsolicited messages were one reason she is questioning whether she wants to date at all.

The comments came after Mace said she had received a surge of attention and dating offers following social-media attention surrounding photos of her tattoos.

According to TMZ, she turned down the offers regardless of the political affiliation of the men who approached her.

Mace Says She Is Happy on Her Own

Mace also spoke about her current life as a single woman.

She said she is unsure whether she wants to date and emphasized that she is comfortable being independent. Her children are grown, and she said she is content with her life, including spending time with her pets and focusing on her work.

The congresswoman has also previously spoken about difficult experiences in past relationships. During the interview, she referenced experiences beyond her two divorces, including allegations she has made about former fiancé Patrick Bryant. Bryant has denied those allegations.

A Political Divide Doesn't Appear to Be the Issue

Despite being a prominent Republican, Mace said political affiliation would not automatically prevent her from dating someone who supports Democrats.

When asked directly whether she would date a Democrat, she said she would — if she decides to date again.

Her larger complaint, it seems, is less about politics and more about the type of attention she receives online.

Looking Ahead

Mace's comments come as she prepares to leave Congress in January, according to TMZ.

For now, however, she appears more interested in maintaining her independence than searching for a relationship — and she has made one thing particularly clear to potential suitors: sending unsolicited explicit photographs is not the way to make a good impression.
