The beloved actress received the 2,857th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Sept. 16 in Los Angeles, celebrating a career that has spanned more than three decades. The star was awarded in the motion pictures category.

A Full-Circle Moment
During her acceptance speech, Long looked back at the early days of her career, remembering a time when she would take the bus up and down Hollywood Boulevard before becoming one of the industry's most recognizable actresses.

Long also dedicated much of her gratitude to her mother, Talita Long, who was present for the ceremony alongside her sons.

Long's sons were among the special guests celebrating the milestone, as was her former fiancé, basketball coach Ime Udoka.

More recently, she portrayed Katherine Jackson in the Michael Jackson biopic Michael, which was produced by Graham King. King was among the speakers honoring her at the Walk of Fame ceremony.
