Meghan Markle Wears Head-to-Toe British Designers for First UK Outing With Prince Harry Since Their Return

Meghan Markle made a stylish statement in British fashion as she joined Prince Harry for their first official joint outing in the United Kingdom since the couple moved back to the country. The Duchess of Sussex chose a coordinated burgundy-and-purple ensemble for a day of charity visits in Nottingham, combining understated luxury with a nod to British designers.

The October 15 appearance marked a notable public moment for the couple, who had returned to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in August 2026.

Meghan’s Look Put British Designers in the Spotlight

Meghan, 45, built her outfit around a burgundy wool-and-cashmere coat by Joseph, layered over a matching cashmere turtleneck from the same brand. She paired the rich, wine-colored pieces with a purple crepe midi skirt from The Fold London, creating a polished look through complementary autumn shades.

A slim leather belt defined the silhouette, while Jennifer Chamandi pumps and a Joseph handbag completed the ensemble. The combination kept the look sophisticated and coordinated without relying on bold prints or statement accessories.

The outfit also reflected Meghan’s long-standing interest in fashion that balances contemporary styling with classic tailoring. By choosing labels associated with British design, she made the wardrobe itself part of the occasion.

A Meaningful Return to Nottingham

The choice of Nottingham carried a personal connection. The city was the setting for Harry and Meghan’s first official joint engagement in December 2017, shortly after their engagement was announced. Meghan also wore Joseph during that earlier visit, making the label a subtle callback to the beginning of their public life together.

This time, the couple returned for a series of community and charitable engagements, meeting people involved in local projects and organizations. Their schedule included visits connected to youth programs, community support and initiatives working to make a difference in the area.

The visit also brought Meghan back into contact with women associated with the Hubb Community Kitchen, a group she supported following the Grenfell Tower fire in London in 2017. The kitchen became a community-led source of support for those affected by the tragedy and was an early example of Meghan’s charitable work in the UK.

Fashion Meets Community Engagement

Although Meghan’s outfit attracted attention, the day’s focus extended beyond fashion. The couple’s visits highlighted community organizations and the people working to support residents, particularly through programs for young people and those facing difficult circumstances.

Their return comes as they continue their charitable work while raising Archie and Lilibet. The Nottingham engagements offered an opportunity to reconnect with familiar organizations and meet people involved in community initiatives.

For Meghan, the British-designed outfit was a fitting choice for a visit rooted in her earlier experiences in the country. The combination of Joseph, The Fold London and Jennifer Chamandi brought together several British fashion names while keeping the look practical and elegant for a busy day of public appearances.

The result was a return defined by both a carefully considered wardrobe and a renewed connection with the communities and charitable causes that shaped some of the couple’s earliest public engagements.
