A Florida good Samaritan was brutally ambushed after stopping to help what appeared to be a crash victim on the 429 Expressway near Disney World. The man later identified as Hans Hamilton said the driver suddenly attacked him, repeatedly shouting, “I’m going to kill you,” while video from Hamilton’s Tesla captured the assault.

What happened

Hamilton said he saw a white Lexus crashed near the guardrail and assumed the driver needed help. As soon as he checked on the man, the suspect reportedly sprang up, rushed his car, and launched into a violent attack.

According to reports, the assault lasted nearly 30 seconds and left Hamilton with bruises, broken ribs, and a brain bleed. Deputies later arrested the suspect, who now faces multiple charges tied to the attack and his confrontation with responding officers.

The case has drawn attention because it turned a simple act of kindness into a life-threatening encounter. Hamilton said he believed he was doing what “any normal person” would do by stopping to help someone who appeared injured.
