The allegations
Prosecutors allege that:
Arnold was the "primary conspirator" in a February 4 plot in Tampa.
Three men were allegedly lured to an apartment under false pretenses.
The victims were allegedly robbed, beaten, held at gunpoint, and kidnapped in retaliation for the suspected theft of more than $200,000 worth of Arnold's personal property from an Airbnb. Authorities say there is no evidence the victims were involved in that theft.
Investigators also allege they have evidence including group chats and livestreamed video they believe connect Arnold to the planning of the attack.
Court proceedings
Arnold, 23, surrendered to authorities and appeared in court, where a judge ordered him held without bond pending a pretrial detention hearing. He currently faces multiple felony charges, including armed robbery and kidnapping, which could carry severe penalties if he is convicted.
Defense response
Arnold has pleaded not guilty through his attorney and denies any involvement. His legal team argues the prosecution's case relies heavily on testimony from co-defendants who have accepted plea agreements and may have incentives to shift blame.
Team response
The Detroit Lions acknowledged Arnold's legal situation but have declined further comment while the criminal case proceeds.
Bottom line
Terrion Arnold remains in custody without bond as prosecutors pursue armed robbery and kidnapping charges stemming from an alleged retaliatory attack. He denies the allegations, and the case will continue through the Florida court system.
