What authorities say happened
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office:
Deputies responded to a shooting at the family's home Sunday evening.
Mia Bieniemy, 57, was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
She was taken to a hospital, where officials said she was in stable condition.
Police arrested Elijah Zion Bieniemy, 27, who has been charged with:
Malicious wounding.
Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Discharging a firearm inside a dwelling.
He is being held without bond while the case proceeds.
