Indiana 2-Year-Old Lands in Burn Unit After Family Reports Severe Reaction to Millie Moon Diapers

An Indiana family is raising concerns about Millie Moon potty-training diapers after their 2-year-old son reportedly suffered severe injuries in his diaper area that required hospital treatment.

Logan and Quinton Marker, of Franklin, Indiana, told local news outlets that their son began experiencing serious skin injuries after switching to Millie Moon potty-training diapers on Saturday, October 17, 2026, while staying with his grandmother.

According to the family, the injuries affected the toddler’s buttocks and genital area and caused significant pain. His mother, Logan Marker, said her child had not walked since Friday because of the discomfort.

The family initially chose Millie Moon diapers because they understood the product to be free of fragrance, lotion and latex. However, after noticing the severity of their son’s condition, they sought medical care at Johnson Memorial Health Hospital before he was taken for further treatment.

Growing Concerns About Millie Moon Diapers

The Indiana family’s experience comes amid a growing number of reports from parents who say their children developed severe rashes, skin irritation, peeling and other injuries after wearing Millie Moon diapers.

Consumer Reports reported in October that more than 600 incidents involving the brand had been submitted to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s public reporting database over the preceding year. Some reports described children needing medical attention.

These reports have prompted questions from parents about whether certain batches or product changes could be contributing to the reactions. However, reports from consumers alone do not establish that the diapers caused the injuries, and the cause of the individual cases has not been confirmed.

Millie Moon Says It Has Not Identified a Safety Issue Warranting a Recall

Despite the reports, Millie Moon has said it has not identified evidence of a product safety or quality issue that would warrant a recall.

The company says it is reviewing complaints and investigating the products and batches associated with reported concerns. It has also stated that the formulation, materials and suppliers used in its diapers have not changed, although the printed design on the outer layer was updated.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has acknowledged awareness of the complaints but has said it cannot comment on active or potential investigations.

As of the latest reports, Millie Moon had not announced a recall of the diapers. The reported injuries and complaints have not, by themselves, established a confirmed product defect.

What Parents Should Know

Parents who notice unusual redness, peeling, blisters or other skin reactions after using a diaper should stop using that product and contact their child’s pediatrician. Severe pain, open wounds or rapidly worsening symptoms warrant prompt medical attention.

Families can also report suspected product-related injuries to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the manufacturer. Keeping the diaper packaging and recording batch or lot information may help with any investigation.

For the Marker family and other parents reporting similar experiences, the central concern remains understanding what caused the injuries and whether further action is needed to protect children.
