Influencer Igho "Tiny" Ubiribo Dies After Penis Enlargement Surgery
British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo has died at 43 after suffering a fatal complication following a cosmetic genital enlargement procedure in Thailand.
Ubiribo, who was also known online as Denisi and Ego, underwent the procedure while vacationing in Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen. A London coroner has now determined that the treatment caused the pulmonary embolism that led to his death.
The inquest heard that approximately 40 milliliters of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected at an unidentified clinic on March 5. The treatment was intended to increase penile girth.
Ubiribo Became Ill Shortly After the Procedure
Following the procedure, Ubiribo and his wife went for a massage at their hotel. During the massage, he began experiencing chest pain and lost consciousness twice.
He was rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital, where his wife informed medical staff about the recent cosmetic procedure. Doctors suspected he had suffered a pulmonary embolism and recommended a CT scan, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before the scan could be completed.
He was transferred to intensive care, where medical staff attempted to revive him for more than 100 minutes. He died in the early hours of March 6, 2026.
Postmortem Findings
A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom found material in Ubiribo’s lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.
At the inquest, Assistant Coroner Jean Harkin concluded that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic treatment.
A pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood vessel supplying the lungs becomes blocked. It can become life-threatening when blood flow to the lungs is suddenly restricted.
Risks Associated With Penile Filler Procedures
The case has also drawn attention to the potential risks associated with cosmetic procedures intended to increase penile size.
While injectable fillers can temporarily increase girth, medical experts warn that complications can include infection, scarring, changes in sensation and erectile dysfunction. More serious complications can occur if filler material enters the bloodstream.
Ubiribo’s case demonstrates the rare but potentially devastating consequences that can accompany cosmetic procedures, particularly when the exact medical credentials of the provider or the safety standards of a clinic are unclear.
Remembering Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo
Ubiribo had built a substantial following online, where he frequently shared photographs and videos documenting his travels, luxury lifestyle and business ventures. He had more than 180,000 Instagram followers before his death.
Friends and followers have since paid tribute to the influencer, remembering him for his larger-than-life personality and presence on social media.
Ubiribo was laid to rest in London in May.
His death has brought renewed attention to the importance of understanding the risks associated with elective cosmetic procedures and seeking treatment from qualified medical professionals.
